A Family Session for the perfect family

Sometimes things don’t go as planned! Sometimes the skies open up and the most intense rainstorm happens on the way to your session. Sometimes the baby doesn’t sleep the night before, sometimes your husband is in pain from rehabilitation for an injury, sometimes the doctor pulls a bead out of your toddler son’s ear… and you roll up your sleeves and roll with it.

All this and more happened as we readied for the session and through the clouds and the rain came the crazy beautiful moment that is life… and family. As parents we all face days of pure chaos, and then out of nowhere your children will surprise you, or hug you , or laugh … and your heart sinks and your stomach flips and you are overwhelmed with love for the tiny beings who’s life you are responsible for. And always… its all worth it….

This military family is as resilient as they come, and their love and commitment is what makes them perfect. I was honored to be able to capture so much joy and love for my dear friend and fellow photographer Sasha (Sasha Dale Photography), and I love watching their family story unfolding …
